Featuring Patience (The Grates) & Isabella Manfredi (The Preatures)

Patience Hodgson is best known as the electrifying frontwoman of ARIA-nominated indie rock favourites The Grates, whose wild, joyful live shows have lit up stages across Australia and beyond for more than two decades. For Small Fry Rock, she steps away from the full band to revisit Grates songs in a whole new way.

Joining her are multi-instrumentalist Joel Woods and musician Thomas Fletcher. A versatile virtuoso of plucked string instruments, Woods brings guitar and banjo to the mix, while Fletcher completes this special musical collaboration. with clarinet. Together, the trio strip things back, stretch things out and find new colours in songs originally built for packed rock venues and festivals.

Expect familiar favourites, unexpected arrangements and plenty of the chaos, colour and heart that have always been at the centre of Patience Hodgson's performances.

The success of The Preatures introduced the world to Isabella Manfredi. With multiple ARIA nominations and global tours under her belt, Isabella has recently launched her solo career with the release of her debut solo album ‘izzi’. A new era with a new sound for Manfredi — one she says is more authentic and representative of her as an artist - ‘izzi’ has marked the emergence of an iconic and powerful artist taking control of her artistic vision.
