The Triffid is proud to present the official Brisbane album launch of roaring Blues artist, Sam Buckley, on Sunday 24th May in the beer garden from 2-5pm.

Recorded in Memphis at legendary Royal Studios and at home here in Australia, Sam worked meticulously over the last 4 years to put together his dream album. Featuring global Blues legends: Ray Griffin (bass), T.O.Crivens (rhythm guitar), Reverend.Charles Hodges (organ), Willie Hall (percussion) and Lester Snell (piano), this album oozes deep groove, soul-driven feel and bends that is grabbing attention. 2 of Sam's singles (Blues Ocean & Rock Me Baby) stormed into the AMRAP Top 10 Regional Chart and received national and international airplay and support. Sam was the front cover artist for Found Regional Magazine, is endorsed both by National Music and Elixir Strings and the feature guitarist for Canadian publication, Riff Culture. Sam brings his Blues trio to this special event to perform the songs off Blue Ocean - a mixture of memorable covers and ground-breaking, innovative originals.
